Summer 2008.
I had a great time with my son and helper "Austin" as we raced to activate as many grids before it got too dark.  (we did get 4 grids in, good job for 1st timers!) Be sure to check out Mike's page at KM0T.COM

KB0NMQ in Gimli Manitoba, Canada
In the spring of 2008 I took a trip to Manitoba, Canada and was active for the VHF contest. Sadly, I logged only 11 stations. The evening before the contest, 6 meters was open and the band was wild with activity. But that is how it goes, EH?

I enjoy the radio hobby. There is always activity some where no matter the day or time..

I also need to thank a bunch off good people for guiding me along the way. For if not for them, I may still be fumbling abound with a bunch of wires!

My Parents for opening my mind to radio. Showing me the wonders of SSB and Short Wave. Thank you! the time we have spent together and with your radio friends. All great memories!

My Elmers for hours of friendship and discussing radio & related topics. (along with good food) Thank you Steve N3IGM and Mike KA3SLE and others.

My Radio Friends for keeping me going all these years. You are my best friends! Thank you all!

My Radio Club because you can't do it by yourself. Its great to a have a place and a forum to share ideas and talk about our hobby. W0VHQ

My Wife and Family. Without the support of my beautiful wife and understanding family, my hobby life would more likely be collecting stamps and cutting grass. (rather than making QSO's and chasing DX!)  Thank you for taking part in my radio life, enduring hours of summer heat, helping me build my tower and for knowing that when we travel, that it means that I am packing a radio my suitcase! I love you all!

And you!
